Esterbrook (Estherbrook) was founded in 1858 in New Jersey.
It was used by American writers, starting with successive presidents, and it is also known that it was used when J.F. Kennedy signed the budget for the Apollo program to send humans to the moon.
As a writing instrument representing good old America from the 1930s to the 60s in the so-called Modern Times era, more than 20 million fountain pens were produced per year in the US and UK.
In 2018, about 50 years after that history was closed, it became possible to hear that name again in New York.
