The third SWS F-4J kit returns to navy with VF-142 Ghost Rider markings. Since its first flight in 1958, the F-4 has won many wars on the battlefields of Vietnam and the Gulf War. We operate over long distances around the world. The SWS kit aims to approach what makes this jet so unique with its various squadrons and deployments. VF-142 Ghostriders were one of the fleet still flying F-4Js in their last "Rhino" days. It features a boldly colored orange-yellow vertical tail with a multi-colored star representing the CAG airplane. The biggest barrier to kit development was representing the external features of the F-4, recreating the thickness and sharpness of the nose, including large overhangs on the sides of the nose.
