The stallion of Texas Hard Rock is unleashed! The long-awaited latest reissue of the legendary album "Stud", which was pressed in 1975 with only 200 copies and has been called the "holy grail" by collectors around the world!

Formed in Houston in 1974, they rehearsed and performed live locally, developing their own style while being influenced by Led Zeppelin and others. Their only album, ``Studs,'' was recorded at a studio run by The Barons in Rosenberg, Texas, and released on their affiliated label, ``Baron Records.'' This work combines a hard sound left to youth and a fearless experimental spirit. Dr. Timothy Williams, who was 17 years old at the time, took the lead on the lead guitar, cutting into his youth, while Paul David's Rickenbacker bass and organ supported the band's musical foundation, adding depth and color. George Randell's iron-clad drums are also powerful, and the album combines solid Texas rock and progressive development unique to the trio. Leading the way are exhilarating hard rock such as "Woman Like You" (M1), which is full of weighty riffs, beats, and shouts, and "Captain Boogie" (M2), which blows things away without reason, as well as "Stud" (M3), which is a combination of relentlessly attacking heavy riffs, dying screams, and progressive jams, and "The War," a lyrical number that laments the world going in the wrong direction. Two long numbers, each approximately 12 minutes long, called "Song" (M5), also highlight the band's individuality. The five-song album is full of excitement and thrills, with the addition of ``Jim / Blues'' (M4), which features gritty hard blues and exquisite acoustic guitar.

Baron Records recognized their talent, paid for their recordings, and pressed 200 LPs, but although the album received airplay on radio stations around Houston, they were unable to secure a contract with a major record company. The LP was never repressed and remained unavailable even to rock collectors in Texas. In 2015, it was reissued by the sub-label ``Outsider'' under the Spanish rare reissue label ``Guelsen Records,'' and its high quality surprised dilettantes/enthusiasts. In the 10 years since then, even reprints have remained difficult to obtain. However, in 2025, the long-awaited Japanese version of the CD will finally be released! Also included is a booklet containing liner notes where Paul looks back on those days and many valuable live photos.The time has come to paint Japan in Texas colors! *This is a different band from the 1970s British band of the same name.
