ECIPS+ (Pylon-Integrated Electronic Warfare System with Missile Warning System) is a system co-produced by Israel's Elbit Systems and its partner, Denmark's Telma, and began being equipped on F-16s operated by European countries several years ago. ECIPS+ is equipped with an AN/ALQ-162 jammer (radio wave jamming device) that nullifies radars on the ground as passive protection that complements the active protection of chaff and flares, and is also equipped with an AN/AAR-60 missile warning system. ECIPS+ is also equipped on the F-16A that Denmark gave to Ukraine, and the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command and the U.S. Air National Guard are also considering introducing it.
